On June 25th we celebrated Dadda's Birthday!

And he got a little distracted!

Behind the Pie.

So when I asked Paul what kind of dessert he would like for his birthday, he said a chocolate meringue pie like the one his Mom used to bake for him. Then he said "You'll have to buy it."

So the pressure was on for me to figure out a way to MAKE IT!!!! So I had no problem with buying the pie crust and making the chocolate pie filling. Easy peasy!!!! Then came the meringue!!! Lucky for me, Carolina, the sweetness that helps out at the house is an amazing everything in the kitchen, and it just happened to be the day she was at the house! So I found a great recipe and she helped master it!

Carolina saved the day and Paul LOVED it and said he wouldn't change a thing about it!!!!

Wowzers! What a roller coaster we have been on with sweet Gage. The good news is today he has been free from illness for couple weeks now. Bad news was Viral Pneumonia, double ear infection, breathing treatments, 3 rounds of antibiotics, bacterial pneumonia...YUK YUK YUK. This sweet boy just couldn't get ahead. These are pictures from our 1st of 2 trips to Dell Children's ER.

This is a span of about 12 hours. They wanted to keep him over night, but as you can see after he started hi-fiveing the nurses they decided he was well enough to go home!!!

This diaper around his arm is just that. It's hiding the IV port.
